It was leaked by Xbox Wire that Divinity: Original Sin II – Definitive Edition was coming to Xbox Game Preview on May 16, 2018 and I – one of many – have been going nuts waiting for the game! Finally it’s here for £49.99. The only drawback is that the game preview also gets you access to the first 20 hours or so.
Scheduled to launch on consoles in August 2018 so getting it this early on Xbox Game Preview release is a such a tease but so welcome.
Taking place in the world of Rivellon where players can go anywhere and talk to anyone, fully interact with the world unlike other games. The game features five distinct races and six unique origin characters to use or you can customise and make your own, unlimited freedom to explore and experiment with friends or AI.
Playing with three friends has never been more tenuous as now that the Divine has been defeated and the Void is nearing. There is strength within you and the others, the race to become divine is all that matters because there can only be one divine.
The standard version released last year on PC via Steams early access program and has since wowed the masses. Anyone who loves a good ol RPG fell in love with it, high scores across the board and even a perfect score by some.
The definitive edition totes hundreds of tweaks and changes, no doubt cleaning up any bugs that were still hanging about and a split-screen mode for some armchair co-op action. You can grab it now or wait until August for it’s full official release.
For more news, stay tuned.
