If the title didn’t already spoil the news, then yes, NBA Playgrounds 2 has been announced and will be heading to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC, this summer.

It’s set to improve upon the first game with a number of changes and additions. A new Playgrounds Championship online mode and a worldwide online league featuring several divisions to climb will be included.

Dedicated Servers are being added for fast online matchmaking and responsive gameplay. There will also be four-player online games where each player can either be a human or AI.

Single-player is a big focus for the team at Saber Interactive which is why they have developed the new Season Mode. Offering players the chance to take their team through a season, the playoffs, and win the NBA Championship, with special players to collect dependent on which team is chosen. There will be more than 200 current and retired NBA players to unlock in card packs.
