Rockstar has announced that the highly anticipated upcoming game Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed, but fear not, we actually have a specific release date. The game is scheduled to launch on October 26th, 2018 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
It was originally said to be releasing sometime in fall 2017, it was then delayed until spring 2018 and has now received its second delay.
The following statement is taken from a post on Rockstar Newswire:
“We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.
We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.”
We are all incredibly hyped for this and if we have to wait a few more months in order to play a more finished, polished and hopefully better game, so be it. We’re all in.
