Focus Home Interactive has rolled out a teaser trailer for its upcoming first person shooter, Insurgency: Sandstorm. It’s set to release sometime this year for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

It takes the original Insurgency formula and looks to evolve it bringing extended gameplay possibilities, upgraded graphics thanks to Unreal Engine 4, improved immersion and new co-op and versus objective-based game modes.

Each weapon will have their own unique ballistic calculations that will take into account various factors such as bullet drop and penetration power. You can choose to drop magazines for faster reloads in dangerous situations, even opening doors you can either do so carefully for the tactical approach or bash it down and rush in.

Take part in 16-versus-16 skirmishes complete with gunships, artillery, drones, transport vehicles and air strikes. Battle across the expansive maps that contain plenty of interiors to breach and high-value objectives to control. Each map has specifically designed play area’s and overall size based on the game mode they are made for.

Sandstorm, much like its predecessor will reward teamwork and objective-based play over the lone wolf mentality. Character customisation, ranked matchmaking and many more long awaited features will be included.
