Ubisoft announced that the first piece of downloadable content for Assassin’s Creed Origins will launch on January 23rd 2017 for all platforms.

The Hidden Ones is a story-driven expansion that will build upon the growth of the Brotherhood and will put players in a timeline four years after the events of the main game. The expansion will increase the level cap to 45 which allows players to continue to upgrade and customise their character. Four new legendary weapons will debut along with a new outfit, two new mounts and multiple new weapons, as well as two new levels for all crafted gear. This will be available for all season pass owners or can be purchased separately when it launches January 23rd.

Discovery Tour by Assassin’s Creed: Ancient Egypt is a new educational mode that allows players to choose between playing the game as originally intended, or free roam the beautiful world of Ancient Egypt and learn more about its history and daily life. Embark on guided tours curated by historians and Egyptologists. People can discover and explore a world free of conflict, time pressure or gameplay constraints, story and quests will not be active as the world of Ancient Egypt becomes a combat-free living museum.

Discovery Tour will be a free update for all owners of the game and will be available separately on Uplay and Steam for Windows PC. Expect this on February 20th, 2018.

The second piece of DLC was also announced in The Curse of the Pharaohs. This expansion will deliver a new storyline that allows players to travel to Thebes in order to investigate an ancient curse that is plaguing the region. The story will focus on Egyptian mythology and pit players against famous pharaohs and Egyptian beasts as they investigate the cause of the curse. The level cap will be raised to 55 and will bring new outfits and gear, including rare and legendary weapons themed around classic Egyptian mythology. The DLC will be available as part of the season pass or can be purchased separately when it launches March 6th.

All this and more is coming to Assassin’s Creed Origins over the coming months allowing players to spend more time in the stunning world of Ancient Egypt.
