During Capcom’s Mega Man 30th Anniversary livestream on Twitch, the developer and publisher of the beloved platforming series announced a new mainline Mega Man title. That’s right, he’s back.

Mega Man 11 will feature the familiar side-scrolling action that fans love but will also look to revolutionise the experience for newcomers to the series. The game will offer a number of difficulty options and bring its own signature challenges. The title is set to release on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in late 2018.

If that wasn’t enough it was confirmed that both previously released Legacy Collections will be making their way to Nintendo Switch in Spring 2018. This will make all 10 of the numbered series games playable on the handheld console hybrid leading up to the release of the 11th title. The first collection includes the original six 8-bit games and will see the addition of a rewind feature, allowing you to go back in time after mishaps. Said feature will make it’s way to existing owners of the title on other platforms too.

That isn’t even it, the Mega Man X series that features eight titles are also coming to the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, set to release in Summer 2018.
