The Sims 4 is heading to Xbox One and PlayStation on November 17th, 2017. Those who pre-order the deluxe edition will be able to play from November 14th. Michael Duke, Senior Producer for The Sims 4 on consoles has been answering various questions on Twitter concerning the game.
Players should expect an install size of approximately 12GB for the base game and is available for pre-download in advance of launch day. The DLC content will also be available early for those purchasing the deluxe edition. If you can’t wait until launch, EA Access members on Xbox can try The Sims 4 for free starting November 9th.
Purchasing the standard edition doesn’t stop you from being able to get the DLC later on as all packs will be available separately from the get go. The holiday pack will be coming to console on day one and is free for all users.
If you want to use cheats then you can, by holding all four bumper and trigger buttons this will open the cheat console that will allow you to type in just like PC. Warning however, cheats will disable achievements / trophies.
The Sims 4 will be available in both retail and digital stores, with DLC only being available digitally.
